Why parents choose us

A real, local music school, not a franchise

We come to your child's school

No after-work drive, no studio waiting room. Our teachers run lessons at 50+ primary and secondary schools across Perth, before, during or after school. There is very likely a venue at the school your child already attends.

Named, qualified teachers

Every Keyed Up teacher holds a Working With Children Check and a music degree, or is completing one, with many trained right here in Perth at WAAPA or UWA. Meet the people who will teach your child before you enrol.

Children learn to read and write music

Many programmes just have students memorise a set of pieces. We teach children to read and write music alongside their playing, so they become independent musicians who can keep learning for life.

A music programme that gives back to your school

We run complete classroom and instrumental programmes for primary schools, and for every student we teach we contribute $0.50 per child per lesson back to the school. We schedule around your timetable, support a band or choral programme, and put on a school music concert every year.

What Perth parents say

"My children look forward to their keyboard lessons every week, they even fight each other over who goes first at practice time! They enjoy being in a class with their friends and as a parent I love watching them learn whilst having fun. The convenience of having lessons at their school is also a huge bonus."
Rebecca PreedyParent, Whitfords Catholic Primary
"Our son Luca has been receiving keyboard lessons from Keyed Up Music for 18 months, we have been amazed at how much he has learnt in such a short amount of time! The dedication and patience Nick demonstrates when teaching the children is admirable."
Sandra VinesParent, Whitfords Catholic Primary
"Caitlyn has progressed very quickly within the year through Mr Dabbs' tutelage. He has taught Caitlyn, who is naturally shy, to be confident in front of an audience. Caitlyn enjoys her lessons immensely and we enjoy listening to her play at home."
Adelene ChooParent, St Emilie's, Canning Vale
